Adding Mermaids

We’re starting off the list with arguably one of the best Sims 4 mods of the year, allowing you to have mermaids in your game with tons of new inclusions.

To become a mermaid, you first have to buy the “The Queen of the Mermaids” statue in the building menu and place it on a lot. Your sim can then interact with it to “Remember the ‘Queen’s’ legend”, and then one of two things will happen.

Either they will fail and feel like the story is boring, giving them a negative buff for 24 hours which makes it so you can’t try again until after it goes away. Or they will succeed, causing them to pass out, glow, and wake up with scaled legs as a mermaid.

Mermaids have the ability to change the color of their scales, sing a “Sirens song” that effects non-mermaid sims and increases the singing skill, and maintain a new Hydration need that replaces Hygiene. They can fill it by swimming in a pool, having a bath/shower, going on a water slide, or really any water-based activity.

If you don’t allow your mermaid sim to have water for too long, they will become dehydrated and can die.

Mermaids are also natural smooth talkers, and have a more whimsical speaking voice than normal sims to match their singing.

Wish-Granting Genies

This huge mod allows you to play with genies for the first time in The Sims 4. Genies have been seen in the series before, including in The Sims 2: FreeTime, The Sims 2 for console, and as a NPC and playable character Sims 3: Showtime.

• Wish for romance.
• Wish for youth (only adult and elder sims).
• Wish for genie’s freedom. The genie will be freed from the lamp, gain her legs, and slowly change in appearance back to a sim.

Each wish, excusing the genie’s freedom, will grant you either a positive or negative moodlet, depending on your luck with the wish.

Aliens Enhanced

Aliens came to the Sims 4 in the Get to Work expansion pack, but this mod expands them even further by adding new abilities, interactions, buffs, a ‘Brain power’ need, and more.

Mostly notably, your alien sim is now be able to use mind-control on its regular sim victims, whether they want them to clean the house or be a handy man and repair everything on the lot. And they can conquer a lot to start an alien invasion where some or all of the sims will be abducted while your alien sim laughs maniacally.

NPC Names Expanded

This mod was created because the number of names for each ethnicity for NPCs in The Sims 4 was super low. Once installed, you will notice thousands of new names for the game to randomly generate for townies.

New names include Indian, Japanese, and Arabic male and female first names and surnames that have never been seen in the vanilla game.

It should be noted that these names will not change the existing townies in your game, and instead will generate new sims with these names overtime.

Invisible Fences

Our ungrateful Sims have a tendency to not use our pretty paths we make for them, and instead trample over the well-kept lawn to get to areas quicker.

This mod will force them to act more natural with paths by allowing you to create invisible fences to guide them in the right direction without any cluttering items actually being visible.

The fences work on both terrain and water, and to turn them invisible you just change the swatch of the item from its normal color to the customized invisible swatch in the build mode.

Sim Fairies

One of the most detailed inclusions of the year, this mod allows your sims to become fairies, complete with a whole new look and tons of abilities and interactions.

Fairies will have wings and a pair of pointy ears, and to become one you simply have to buy and plead to the ‘Fairies tree’ on a lot. It can be found in build mode under the tree section.

When you sims becomes a fairy they can:

• Fly around to increase the Fun need.
• Sometimes have a special idle animation.
• Develop the mischief skill much faster.
• Have access to two new buffs including “Feeling Playful” (+3 playful) and “Where’s the fun?!?” (+4 Bored).
• Give children a happy buff when they see them.
• Have sparkles appear on their backs.
• Have their Fun and Social needs drop much faster.
• Fly instead of walk around lots.
• Change their wing colors to Black, Yellow, White, Red, Pink, and Green.
• Cast five magic auras including Aura of Soothing, of Body and Mind, of Creativity, of Discomfort, and of Idiocy.
• Maintain magic levels when casting auras by using the “Recharging Meditation” action.

Future plans for this mod include wing animations, special fairy pranks, and a new Enchanted energy need.

Distinct Weather

This expansive mod changes the weather patterns offered in the Seasons expansion so they are unique and distinct depending on the community your sim lives in.

For example, Windenburg is more likely to have snow in early spring, Willow Creek is hotter year round with little snow, and San Myshuno will have cold weather in late to early spring but hot summers with little rain.

This mod also allow thunderstorms to occur year round, when previously they only could happen in the summer. If you have Seasons, downloading this mod is an absolute no brainer.

Buy More Venues

This mod offers both new venue types and the ability to buy them through the Get to Work expansion.

Default venues include the basics like libraries, cafes, gyms, pools, etc. But with this mod you can now have:

• Gaming centers
• Daycares
• Holiday homes
• Playgrounds
• Cinemas
• Rent-able businesses, like apartment buildings, hotel/motels, or even prisons.
• Customizable venues, to make whatever venue you wish.

For the rent-able businesses and customizable venues, you can select what actions are appropriate for sims, so for example, someone renting an apartment would be allowed to do essentially whatever they wish but prison inmates or hotel guests might only be allowed to sleep when they choose and can never cook or clean the lot.

This mod also lets you buy vanilla lots with the difference being there are no longer autonomous employees working there. These lots include lounges, cafes, karaoke bars, normal bars, clubs, and relaxation centers. With the Get to Work expansion you can also now buy police stations, scientist labs, and medical clinics.

More Best Friends

If you have yourself a charismatic sim, it seems unfair they can’t have more than one best friend. This mod rectifies that by allowing any sim to have multiple best friends.

It also lowers the cooldown from 60 to 10 minutes for the “Become Best Friends” Interaction to appear again, so your sims can rack up bffs quicker than ever.

This mod is sure to make Popularity aspiration a lot easier to achieve.

Sleepovers

This mod allows you to host sleepovers at your sim’s house, at a friend or family member’s house, or even on community lots.

This could even be used for other situations as well, like having a boyfriend sleepover at his girlfriend’s house or turning a birthday party into a mass slumber party. There are a bunch of new interactions that will be accessible once you start the sleepover event.

Your sims must be at least a toddler to participate in this event, and even though an older sim has to be present for this, the toddler can still be the actual host of the sleepover event.

This massive mod was available through early access for a while, but is now free in its entirety for everyone to download. Your sim will be able to go on a tropical getaway and with tons of new inclusions to the game like:

• Improved lighting inspired by the lighting from Sunlit Tides in The Sims 3.
• New UI changes including a new world icon, world name change (new save file is recommended), and new world map.

• Ability to relax near the river by interacting with the fishing sign.

In order for this mod to work you must have The Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat Game Pack, Jungle Adventure Game Pack, and Seasons Expansion Pack downloaded, along with the base game.

Early Retirement

This simple mod allows sims other than elders to retire from their job is they so choose.

Now adult sims can retire too, meaning you could stack up a few retirements before actually reaching an old age. Also, if your young sim has enough wealth and just wants to enjoy their adulthood with friends and family or maxing out skills, they now have that option without sacrificing financial security later in life.

True Happiness

For a bit more realism, this mod makes it so ‘Happy’ is no longer the default state for your sims and instead achieving happiness will have a lot more meaning.

The roles of Happy and Fine states are changed, Happy is now a full positive mood and Fine is a boosting mood for other states.

Being Happy also has additional benefits, including gaining satisfaction points over time, a bonus to all skills, a briefly boosted mood, and a bonus to career performance is in a career’s associated mood.

It essentially makes the moods of your sims a lot more complex, instead of Happy just being the norm with not a lot of variety in how they achieve that happiness.

Bank Accounts

Open up a bank account for your sims with this mod to keep track of exactly how much they have earned.

Once installed, you can arrange your sims career so their earnings from work goes directly to the bank and the money can go with your sim whenever they move to a new lot, and even if go onto the Sims 4 galley so another player can download them as well as long as they also have the mod installed.

This mod also grants the ability to transfer money between sims, use online/mobile banking, set automatic transfers, have multiple/single-owner checking accounts, and visit a bank venue so your sim can check on their money in person with a teller.

More Realistic Salaries

Following the financial theme, this mod lowers the salary and career bonus amounts by either 25% or 50% depending on your choice.

You would think this next mod comes straight from EA itself, because it works just like an official Stuff Pack, granting you tons of building items and objects that all follow a cohesive theme.

Dubbed the “Rustic Romance Stuff Pack”, it comes with over 70 items of fan-made stuff that work perfectly for a rustic themed wedding.

Included are new hairstyles, wedding themed clothing like bridal gowns, suits, and veils, beautiful tables, chairs, fairy lights, mason jars, and so much more. You can see a total list of all the items included in the pack here.

It’s almost like bunch of wedding planners themselves made this pack, and it’s a must have not only for weddings but just to use all the items in your other builds as well.

The fairy lights would look fitting in a teen’s room, and all the flower-based items would look great in a gardening sim’s house.

Game and Movie Replacements

This collection of mods are so fun because they replaces the EA games your sims play within The Sims 4 with real gameplay footage of other popular titles on the sim’s game consoles.

These mods requires City Living to function, and your sim will have to max out their gaming skill level in order to see all the possible options.

For the first pack that features only Nintendo games, it includes Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart 8, Pikmin 3, Splatoon, Super Mario 3D World, and Yoshi’s Woolly World.

These are more expensive than normal perks and are priced anywhere between 1,500-8,000 satisfaction points, but there are half-price, quarter-price, and free options available for download too if you don’t want the extra challenge.

Animated Birds

A few different mods released this year that all allow you to place animated birds within your Sims 4 game since they were not included in the Cats and Dogs expansion.

All the birds come from the same talented modder, Bakie, with full animations and sound effects and the birds include:

• Channel-billed Toucans, who like the rest are fully rotatable.
• Macaws as two different species making them either blue or red, with two animations for perching and flying.
• Pigeons, who between 8PM and 6AM will not be visible.
• Seagulls, that also like pigeons can spawn one, three, or five birds in a row.
• Flamingos, who have a water ripple effect when placed in water.
• Sand Pipers, who can run along the beach.

Past year animated birds also include ducks complete with ducklings as well released in 2017.

Finally, there is a mod that offers a bird cage where you can use the previous mods to place the perched animated birds within to keep in your sim’s house. They also work for sculptures so you can keep fake birds or even gnomes inside the cage as well.

This detailed mod adds physical changes to sims based on their buffs and moods for added realism to how they act and look in the game.

Some of the details added include:

• Teary eyes when sad.
• Blushing when flirty or embarrassed.

• Pimples and acne.
• Bruised face after a fight.
• Gaps while losing teeth.

This mod also allows your sims to get drunk and act differently while drinking alcoholic drinks, and also have more apps on their phones with more interactions on them as well.

Sliding Doors

The doors themselves come in a variety of colors, and include the option to have metal rails on the outside for a more urban look or simply have the doors go inward like they are automatic.

Candle Making

The same old hobbies in The Sims 4 can get a bit repetitive unless you have all the expansion packs, so this fun mod decided to give players the ability to craft a variety of different candles entirely for free.

Once downloaded, your sims can purchase and use a Candle Crafting Table or Candle Crafting Kit to increase their Candle-Making skill and create tons of new candles, some of which can be seen above.

Your sim will start out by only being able to craft the ‘Plain Candle’, but as their skills increase they will be able to make fancy and novelty candles that have all new interactions with buffs and all.

Your sims can also purchase new candle-making books to improve the skill while reading as well.

At level 10, a new interaction is unlocked that will allow sims to sell the candles to boutiques for twice the retail price, meaning if your sims stick to it, candle-making could become their full-time career.

Grey Warden Trait

Fans of the Dragon Age games will really enjoy this mod, as it allows you to give your sim the Grey Warden personality trait, making them part of the Order of warriors who fight darkspawn throughout the fictional world of Thedas.

Along with a ton of references to Dragon Age, this traits comes with career increase rates for the Athlete, Detective, Secret Agent, and Scientist paths, tons of unique buffs, need decay rate increase for Energy and Fun, and much more.

Now your sims can be one of The Grey Wardens, even if they are not technically defeating Blights or doing really anything that constitutions their membership in the prestigious order.

Animated Breezy Curtains

To add a bit more life to your decor, this mod offers animated curtains that will drift slightly in the breeze as if your sim’s window has been left open.

These curtains fit the majority of in-game archways and windows, with the panels being able to be set in different heights and positions. They come in five solid colors, one multi-color version, and one lace curtain version as well.

If placed in an archway like in the image above, you won’t have to worry about your sims not being able get through. They will walk into the room as if the item is not there at all.

Werewolves

Werewolves have made their way to Sims 4 in a big way thanks to this mod with so much detail you would think it was from EA.

The four ways to turn into a werewolf with this mod include:

• Buy the “Special Treasure Map” and get your sim to inspect it and then “Explore the deep dark woods” to look for treasure. They will come back in the first stage of the werewolf process.
• Create a toddler/child as a werewolf from the Create-A-Sim menu. (The mod warns to not select the werewolf trait past teen age)
• Have a sim who has been previously cured from lycanthropy, who can also access potions for the opposite affect.
• A full leveled werewolf can bite a sim upon the player’s request.

Once a sims begins the transformation, they will then pass into four stages before becoming a fully-fledged werewolf:

• “Recent Bite” buff that makes sims uncomfortable and puts slight scars on their body.
• “So much pain!” buff doubles the uncomfortable feelings, and make deeper scars.
• “Temporary Amnesia…” buff makes the sims dazed, heals the scars slightly but leaves the original bite mark.
• And finally, the “Ferocious Behavior” buff makes your sim embarrassed and removes all scars except for the bite.

After these steps, your sim will turn into a werewolf every night and their behavior and appearance will change dramatically. They will have a deeper voice, more defined muscles, a long muzzle, paws, and a tail.

Depending on their lycanthropy skill level, they can hunt, howl, maul sims, attract other werewolves to the lot, and more. At level five, a werewolf can also call via the phone to get a cure delivered to them if they do not wish to be a werewolf anymore.

Every morning at 7:00AM, your sim will turn back into normal and act as they usually do during the day.

Better Romance

This spicy mod update changes the ways in which the game views sims who can interact with others in a potentially romantic way.

When sims greet each other romantically, the game only checks what status they are at in their relationship such as First Kiss, Married, etc and therefore it can cause sims to greet other romantically when it might not be appropriate or wanted by the player.

This update makes it so a sim must first pass the the autonomous behavior checks instigated by this mod and have a “success” score graded upon past romantic actions between the two sims.

For example, if two sims are in a standard relationship that fits the base games definitions, they will greet each other romantically, no problem. However, this would prevent sims who do not have a base romantic relationship before greeting each other in this way.

Your sim’s actions will essentially have more consequences if they get involved with too many people, or just to insert themselves into other relationships. If Sim A tries to romantically greet Sim B who is in a relationship with Sim C, it will negatively affect Sim A and B’s relationship.

Autonomous behavior is determined by the given sim’s traits, so non-committal and flirty sims are more likely to accept romantic greetings than, say, a family-orientated sim who loves commitment.

Parenting Interactions Upgraded

Not only does this mod allow tons of new interactions between parents and their children, it also works between other close family members such as grandparents to grandchild, uncles and aunts, to nieces or nephews, and between siblings as well.

This will ultimately make your family feel a lot more realistic in how they act and talk to each other. For once, the way they interact as a family will actually depend on how they are related to each other, instead of just all using the same interactions.

Jungle Adventure Tweaks

This mod seeks to add some much needed tweaks to the Jungle Adventure Game Packs for The Sims 4.

The first change included fixing the lights that came with Jungle Adventure so they give off more light than the vanilla version and thus look more realistic. A small but needed change so there is better light coverage and you might be more inclined to actually use the lights in your builds.

Another is the addition of Emotion Berry Trees. In the base pack, one tree can give out seven different berries that inflict different emotions into your sims.

Now, there are seven distinct trees that each grow the different berry your sim can then plant on their lots. This will not stop the multi-fruit bearing Tree of Emotions from continuing to grow in the wild.

Next is a Falls buff change, so when your sim visits the water falls in Jungle Adventure, you won’t be annoyed by continuous Flirty idle animations, and instead your sim can now have various different buffs than just Flirty.

As well, in the base pack all sims had to be a at least level four in Selvadoradian Skill to dance the Rumbasims to music. This was removed so your sim can now do this dance regardless of skill.

Finally, there were new cheats added to the Skeleton sims so you can do things like add a 12 hour buff or equip a trait to turn any sim into a skeleton. It will allow you to have a bit more control to who you turn into a skeleton and when you want to turn them back into a normal sim.

Adding Ogres

For more mythical beasts to add to your sims game, this mod adds ogres for the first time with tons of new functionality.

Sims as young as toddlers can become an ogre, and ogres have the unique and privileged opportunity to actually eat other sims for nourishment is they so choose. If other normal sims see this occurring, they will run away or possibly even throw up. Eating a sim will also cause an ogre to gain weight drastically.

Ogres also roar, enjoy playing in the mud, order ogre juice if they don’t feel like eating a sim, and scare normal sims with their brutish actions.

Inspired by Fiona in the Shrek films, there is also the possibility to become a half-ogre where you only become one during the night.

Explore Mod

This next mod is one of the larger ones to have released this past year, offerings tons of new stuff for your sims to do in their communities from one handy “Explore” interaction.

60+ different places have been added, with different events in those lots occurring depending on the season. In order to access all these new things to do, your sim will first have to go to the DMV to get either a license or bus pass allowing them to travel whenever they wish.

It will allow your sim to leave the lot without you, and they come back with skill increases, relationship increases, motive increases, and more. Some of the actions include:

• Going to the doctor.
• Going out to eat.
• Doing temp work for extra money.
• Having surgery that actually changes the appearance of your sims.
• Take a cooking, parenting, painting etc. class.
• Getting your sim’s nails done and sims come back with custom nails on.

Along with these new ways to explore a sim’s community, this mod also adds a Gambler trait and skill, with an interaction at the cards table that lets you make bets.

Animated Tranquil Waves

For water that looks just a touch more realistic, this mod adds wave animations to water for use in smaller lots.

You can set these animated waves down in water, on tiles, in terrains, and even in fountains. There is no need to turn them on as they will begin automatically once you they are placed on the lot and you go into live mode with your sim.

They will not affect a sim’s movement at all whether they are on terrain or in water, and you can change the direction of the wave or even string them together to make bigger ones. Check out a gif here to see them in action.

Pet-Themed Holiday Traditions

Your sim’s pets have just as much to celebrate as their owners. Therefore, this mod added the ability for you to create and celebrate special traditions centered around your furry companions.

The mod pages lists the new Holiday Traditions as the following:

• Feel the love, spend some quality time with your pets.
• Play with Dog, take some time off to play with your pets.
• Teach tricks, take the time to teach your dog some tricks and be proud of them when they master the trick.
• Play with Laser pointer, whip out the laser pointer and have some fun times with your cat.
• Meet or Adopt, meet a new animal and maybe adopt a pet as well.
• Cook for Pet, show off your cooking skills and prepare some homemade food for your beloved pets.
• Pamper pets, brush your pet’s coat and give them a bath.
• Go for a walk, take your canine friend on a walk.
• Age up Pets, it’s your pet’s birthday.

Hair Stylist

Get Famous comes with a “All-in-One Styling Station’ that allows your sims change the hair or makeup of a sim that sits in the chair.

This mod takes that a step further by making it so your sim can become a proper hair stylist with clients and everything.

To do so, just use your sim’s phone or calendar to start a ‘Hair Stylist Event’ and clients will start coming to your lot. You’ll gain fame and money, and clients can tell you want they want and let you know if they like their new look or not.

Tube Teleporter

After several requests for tube elevators, the creator of this mod decided tube teleporters would be the next best thing.

In order for the tube teleporter to work, you must also put several markers around it so sims can interact with it. These include one red one behind a basement floor tube, and a green one behind the rest of the tube. Another mod entitled Wee Albet’s “Elevator Increase” mod is needed for it to function, with it included in the list of downloads for this mod.

Rent making your sim’s wallet a little tight? With this mod you can bring in roommates to your lots just like back in the good old college days.

You have a total of 12 different roommates who you have no control over besides assigning them a bed to sleep in. Other ways to interact with them as roommates are limited to the roommate menu, like asking for rent, requesting they clean up after themselves, and more.

Roommates will leave of their own free will to go to work or visit other places, and they can even decide to move out as well if your sim is a bit too annoying to live with.

Weather and Seasonal Control

Using the thermostat object, you can control both the weather and season your sim is in with this mod.

By clicking on it, you can then select either “Change Current Weather” to choose between anything from a heatwave to a snowstorm, or “Advance Season” so you can jump ahead to any of the four seasons of your choosing.

Now you won’t have to wait if you want your sims to play in a snowstorm, or put on their rubber boots to jump in some rain puddles.

Animated and Functional Bathroom Stalls

It seems like having actual, working bathroom stalls would be a no brainer in The Sims 4 with the creation of community lots such as bars, restaurants, and more. However, it’s years later and base game has still decided to never include them.

This mod finally adds totally functional and completely animated bathrooms stalls to your Sims 4 game, so now sims don’t have to wait one at a time to use the bathroom on crowded lots. Their use disables the need for privacy and they come in 35 colors as well.

Traits Bundle Pack

To try out a few new personality types, this mod adds 40 brand new traits to your game of The Sims 4 that can either build or ruin relationships, require needs, build skills, and more.

Some of the new traits include Ugly, Mixologist, Slow Learner, Talkative, Introvert, Dancer, Artist, Charming, and Gamer.

There’s also this even bigger mod that adds over 100 more traits to that list as well. This list is updated more regularly, often to add additional inclusions whenever a new Expansion Pack is released. Most recently, a bunch of traits related to Get Famous were added as well.

Resorts and Hotels Mod

This absolutely massive mod is a huge standout this year. Once downloaded, you can access and interact with resorts and hotels within your Sims 4 game. You can go to the resorts as a visitor, or own them yourself as a business venture.

To make a resort, the lot requires:

• A bedroom with double or single beds (or both).
• A kitchen with stove, fridge, and counters.
• Multiple front desks with chairs and computers.
• A fully functional bathroom.
• Fun activities (Pool, TV, etc).

You can then place a lot trait on the build (a warning states this doesn’t work for the generic lot but it does for all others) and then visitors will start showing up to stay at the resort.

Anyone who enters a resort lot will be changed §100, and every following day will be charged an additional §50 at 11AM. Visitors can request birthday and wedding cakes, as well as normal food just like room service. Staff will clean after all visitor sims.

To be a resort lot owner, use the phone to call and “Become Resort Owner”. After the lot is open, you can hire staff and even pay them bonuses as you make more money. Owning your own lot has the potential to make your sims thousands of Simoleons if it is successful.

There is also a Resort skill for resort owners. Using the Resort Menu and interacting with guests will increase your skill, and grant you more abilities and, of course, money.

Speed Dating Events

Sims are always looking for the one, but that can be annoying to do by traveling to all the local lots to find your perfect soulmate. This mod offers a brand new and super fun event where you sim can try out speed dating to maximize their time when searching for their potential new spouse.

Once the event is triggered, you choose the sim you want to participate and their type they are looking for. There can be a minimum of 14 people participating with a maximum of 24 sims. Your sims can search for male, female, or any sim if they don’t have a preference.

During the dates, there are tons of new interactions between sims so they can get to know each other and what they are looking for very quickly. You can ask them what their type is, if they have kids, how much money they make, and much more.

Ultimate Dancer Career (and More)

Career path mods are common in the Sims 4 modding community, but a few always stand out for being the best of the best. One of those is the Ultimate Dancer Career mod so your sim can dance for a living whether it be ballet, tap, hip hop, or jazz.

After starting out as a Dance Student as a beginner, your sims will climb the ranks and get to choose between five different paths, including Classical Ballet, Modern Dance, Street Dance, Choreographer, and Instructor.

You’ll have to increase skills like Fitness, Charisma, Logic, and of course Dancing to progress in these five different paths.

More Slots in Cabinets

It’s always fun to add our personal touches to sim households by placing smaller items on shelves to add more detail. The only problem is sometimes you wish you could add more items to really use up all the available space on the lot.

These two mods added more slots into both hutches/cabinets as well as TV stands and tables. Essentially, you will have a lot more flexibility with where you can put items to make your sim’s spaces feel a lot more lived in.

Witch Brewing Caldron

This mod, which was appropriately released on Halloween 2018, gives your witchy sims a caldron to make all sorts of concoctions.

The caldron let’s you make a ‘Witchy Brew’ in five different flavors:

• Black Magic Punch
• Devil’s Red
• Hocus Pocus Fizz
• Poisoned Apple
• Pumpkin Punch

Each potion has a 50% chance for two different after-effects, as well as a bonus for some, like a +75 boost to Mischief skill for drinking Hocus Pocus Fizz or +200 boost to Gardening skill with Pumpkin Punch.

The affects of the potions can also change your sims appearance too, try them all to see what happens to them!

After School Activities

There’s tons of ways to start your child sim’s development early, but this mod offers after school activities for the first time to do just that.

The included programs for your sims to try are Band, Chorus, Dance, and Gymnastics. Going to them after school will allow them to build skills and motives while away from home. They can also get their homework done while at the activities as well.

It’s also great for the sim parents who want just a little bit extra time home alone after the kids are done at school.

Child sims go off to school everyday to give the stay at home parent a bit of a rest, but what about toddler sims? For some reason, The Sims series has never decided to include the ability to allows sims to start their educative careers early with preschool, but with this mod now they can.

Toddlers will be at school from 7 am – 12 pm, and there are tons of interactions that will increase or decrease skills and character values of the toddlers. They mod pages lists them as:

• Ask for help: Increases bladder, attention, and hunger. It stops the toddler from gaining skills and character values.
• Take a nap: Increase energy and decreases manners. It also stops the toddler from gaining skills and character values.
• Don’t listen to teacher: Increases fun but decreases all character values and stops the sim from gaining skills.
• Leave school early: Lets the toddler leave school.
• Normal: Increases all skills and character values slowly but also decreases the fun motive.
• Play with toys: Increases fun, manners, imagination, and movement and nothing else. It stops the toddler from gaining skills and character values.
• Listen to teacher: Increases all skills and character values fast but also decreases the fun motive fast.
• Make friends: Increases fun, relationships, and social. It stops the toddler from gaining skills and character values.
• Talk to friends: After meeting friends, you can build relationships with them.
• Snack time: When your toddlers are hungry, you can let them have a little snack time!

It’s very similar to the system already in place for child and teen sims, but just starting them a little earlier in life.

Park Four Seasons

This is the one of the best lot mods you are going to use in your game of The Sims 4.

With tons to do for children, adults, and animals alike, this unique park has four different models to match the theme of each season.

For example, in Autumn there is a Halloween area with spooky music and an autumn food stand, and in Summer there is a pool with an outdoor TV area and waterslides for warm, watery fun.

The area will feel fresh with each season, and it even has unique music playing and food available to buy, depending on what time of year it is.

Better Schools

This expansive mod allows children and teens to get the most out of their time while at school. Once there, they are now able to earn basic skills and increase their motives all while dealing with a lot more choices in the normal day-to-day.

This mod is essentially just a combination of the previous Better Grade School and Better High School mods combined into one easy to download file that works fluidly together.

Online Utilities System

Instead of entering into the build mode, with this mod you can purchase flowers and insects in a new pie menu in the sim’s computer called “Online Utilities System”. The five categories include:

• Purchase Flowers and Leaves.
• Purchase Fruits and Vegetables.
• Purchase Magic Beans.
• Purchase Herb Utilities.
• Purchase Insects.

There are also two versions of this mod, one that requires certain Gardening, Flower Arranging, and Herbalism skill levels in order to purchase certain items for a bit more realism, while another version has them all unlocked with no skill levels required for easy use.

Reality Show Event

This super unique mod allows you to have your very own reality show within The Sims 4.

The shows are all live, last three days, and throughout the event you will gain fame, money, and followers as well. To have your own show, you just need basic furniture and a camera stand on your lot, and you begin by using the calendar or by starting it as an event.

There are even new interactions between sims and buffs for after the show that are totally unique to this mod as well.

This mod, created by roBurky, aims to make your Sims’ happiness more “fleeting, meaningful, and personal”. By default, Sims’ native mood is happy, and let’s be honest, nobody is happy 100% of the time. It’s just no realistic. This mod changes the default mood to be “fine”, and makes it so that Sims only become “happy” when something good happens, like starting a relationship, eating a good meal, working out, etc. The default state won’t make your Sims unhappy, though, so don’t worry, it simply “fine” the default positive mood.

This mod may not be what you think. Gender preferences refer to the gender that your Sim is attracted to. You can make it a slider out of 100, meaning that you can make your Sims completely attracted to men and not women, completely attracted to both men and women, or partially attracted to one gender and entirely to another. There’s a lot you could do with this simple mod, and it’ll spice up your Sims romantic life.
