How To Perform a Fatality

You must stand at a specific point of the screen (relative to your opponent) and press a series of buttons.

Here is the list of Fatality Positions:
Close: You have to be beside your opponent.
Sweep: Get close to your opponent and take 2 steps backwards.
Outside Sweep: Move more than two steps back but no more than jumping distance.
Jumping: Get close to your opponent and do 1 jump backwards.
Full Screen: You gotta be standing on the other side of the screen.

How to Perform a Mercy

In order to perform an Animality Finisher on your opponent, you must first do a Mercy. To perform a Mercy you must be on the third round. When it says “Finish Him”, press and Hold Run, press Down twice, Release Run. This will give your opponent a tiny sliver of health. Beat them again and you’ll be able to perform an Animality.

How to Perform a Friendship or Bability

You must be able to defeat your opponent without using Block at all during the last round.

SNES VERSION CHEATS AND SECRETS

1. Play as Robo Smoke
To unlock Robo Smoke, hold Left and A at the Copyright Screen. Then when the Williams logo appears, release the buttons and hold Right and B. Finally, when the words ”There is no knowledge that is not power” appear on the screen, release the buttons and now hold X and Y. Continue to hold the buttons until the MK3 logo appears. If done correctly, Smoke will walk onto the screen and Shao Kahn will say ”Outstanding” when you entered the code correctly.
2. Random Select
On the Character Select Screen press Up+Start on Shang Tsung if Player 1, and on Liu Kang if you are Player 3. Unlock Kook Stuff Cheats Menu – At the Main Menu press: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, A, B, A.
4. Unlock Kooler Stuff Cheats Menu – At the Main Menu press: Select, A, B, Right, Left, Down, Down, Up, Up.
5. Unlock Scott’s Stuff Cheats Menu – At the Main Menu press: X, B, A, Y, Up, Left, Down, Right, Down.
6. Unlock Sound Test – At the Main Menu press: A, Y, B, X. You can now listen to all the music in the game.

8. Play In Secret Arena – While fighting Shao Kahn during Single-Player Mode, press start on the Controller 2. Now play a two player game. For some odd reason, you will now be fighting in the sky!

1. Unlock Smoke – During the opening demonstration (where it shows the game playing), rotate the D-Pad clockwise until you see the Ultimate Kombat Code Screen appear. Now press: R1, Triangle x6, Circle x9. Robo Smoke will now be playable.
2. Cheat Menu Code – During the opening demonstration (where it shows the game playing) press: X, Circle, Triangle, R1, R1, R2, R2, R1, R1, Start. You will hear the voice of Shao Khan. Now when the stone block with the word “Kombat” appears, press Up. This will open a new Cheats Menu.
3. Infinite Continues – On the Character Select Screen, press: Up, Up, Right, Right, Left, Left, Down, Down.

PC VERSION CHEATS AND SECRETS

1. Question Mark Cheats Menu – When the introduction is being displayed, press: HP, LP, LK, HK, BLK, BLK, RN, RN, BLK, BLK. If the code was entered correctly, you will hear Shao Khan say ”You will never win!”. Finally, press Up when the MK3 logo is displayed on the Question Mark Menu.
2. Unlock Smoke – During the opening demonstration (where it shows the game playing), rotate the D-Pad clockwise until the Ultimate Kombat Code screen appears. If entered correctly you will hear Shao Khan say “Outstanding”.
