Stand straight with your head in neutral position, not tilted too high or too low, and feet flat on the floor. Preferably measure after you've been standing for awhile to eliminate any morning height as your spine decompresses when you're lying down.

  1. Choose 1 of these 3 easy methods of cane sizing before placing your order. Measure the Size of an Existing Cane. Simply take an existing cane, and measure from the lowest part of the top of the handle to the bottom of the tip. Round up to the nearest half inch. (see Diagram A) 2. Measure the Cane User. Have the user put on their walking shoes.
  2. Follow these directions to start measuring yourself. Make sure that can easily reach anything that you might need while measuring yourself. Hold the box in one hand, and the mirror and pencil in the other. Raise the small box to the top of your head, and press it against the wall.

OK, firstly I know that I'm not tall, actually I'm on the short side. I just want some tips on how to measure my height properly. I tried Googling it, but even with the Google help, I appear to be somewhere between 163 and 165cm. I usually stand with my back to the wardrobe (since I am not allowed to make marks on the wall) with my shoulders, butt and heels touching the wardrobe door. I measure using a 150cm tape measure.

Edit: Thanks for the advice. I'll give them a shot as soon as possible.
